According to Yuchai, it started receiving orders since last year. So far, the orders combined for Yuchai new energy vehicles have exceeded 2,000 units.

In the next three to five years, Yuchai new energy vehicles are expected to become the company’s second largest Business, after its engine business. Next, Yuchai plans to strengthen its R&D efforts and aims to reach an annual production capacity of 50,000 units by the end of the thirteenth five-year plan.

“Developing new energy vehicles is our strategic move. We have been increasing our investments in this area, pooling the best resources of our company to make our vehicles competitive in the market”, reveals Yan Ping, board chairman of Yuchai Group.
